About CEDIA Education

CEDIA education offers a structured Certification programme delivered by experienced industry experts. Currently there are four Certification exams:

• EST2: The baseline technical certification for the industry
• EST3: For experienced installers and site supervisors
• Designer Level 1: For experienced integrated systems designers
• Home Cinema Design Specialist: Currently the highest level of CEDIA Certification. Only for highly experienced designers of engineered reference level home cinemas

CEDIA's Certification programme is recognised as a sign of quality standards in the home technology industry.  Professionals with CEDIA Certification assure home technology expertise and work of the highest quality.

Five careers tracks have been developed in conjunction with CEDIA International to meet the needs of today’s home technology professionals.  The careers tracks are: Technicians, Designers, Sales People, Project Managers and Business Owners.  In the fast developing world of technology, professionals must constantly update their skills to keep up with this growing industry - whether it is learning to speak IP, dealing with the contractual issues on larger projects, or managing cash flow in an expanding market.  CEDIA education will help delegates achieve this.

Who is CEDIA

CEDIA - The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association is the international trade organisation for the home electronic systems industry. CEDIA members specialise in the planning, design, supply and installation of automated home technology systems for the modern, intelligent home.   CEDIA, a not-for-profit trade association, was founded in the USA in 1989 and has offices in the USA, UK and Australia.
