New to the industry? Acquire the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to get started in the residential electronic systems industry with EST1 Residential Boot Camp. This comprehensive three-day session is delivered by CEDIA Certified Instructors and includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training.

The course takes place at CEDIA’s training facility in St Neots. This is centrally located, between Cambridge and Bedford.

CEDIA professionals can began their careers in EST1 Residential Boot Camp and then use the skills learned to build a foundation for a successful career as a technician, designer, or even business owner. As a business owner, this is the ideal first course for a new employee, that will teach them what they need to know to be a useful member of the installation team on day one. The course will also teach the engineering and technical foundations necessary for an individual to go on to CEDIAʼs five day technical school and then the EST2 certification examination.

This comprehensive three-day session delivered by CEDIA certified Instructors includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training including:

  • One day Heath & Safety Course
  • Introduction to typical job roles
  • Maths, SI numbering and engineering principles
  • Cable and connector fundamentals
  • Wiring standards, and connection methods
  • Understading common documentation
  • Jobsite tools and techniques
  • Jobsite professionalism

There will be lots of time during the course for individual questions and topic reviews. There are a maximum of 12 places available on this course. Hours will be from 09.30 to 17.30. There will be a short test at the end of the course leading to the issue of a certificate of completion for the EST1 boot camp.
