CEDIA Heath and Saftey Course

Health & Safety Course

Residential CI companies are finding it increasingly important for on-site staff to be trained in working at heights, manual handling skills and asbestos awareness. To meet these needs, CEDIA is offering an intensive, time efficient, one day course that gives attendees the knowledge and skills to work safely on site.

The course takes place at CEDIA’s training facility in St Neots. This is centrally located, between Cambridge and Bedford.

This comprehensive one-day session delivered by specialised H & S Instructors includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training

  • Underpinning Health & Safety Theory for all 3 courses including risk assessment
  • Work at Height Specific regulations & questionnaire - Ladders & Steps, rooftop safety and harness use
  • Practical scenarios on Working At Heights elements
  • Manual Handling Specific regulations & questionnaire
  • Manual Handling practical session
  • Asbestos Awareness specifics & questionnaire

The structure of this course will allow an upfront H&S session, giving delegates an overview of HSAW74, MHSAWR99, plus all relevant regulations to be covered on the dayʼs study. That way, these will only require recapping on during relevant sections of the 3 part course to confirm comprehension. On completion of the course, attendees will be issued with a certification certificate and photo card.

Full logistics details will be sent out one week before the course by E-Mail.

This day is included in the EST1 Book Camp Course.
