CEDIA has announced that its popular “Maintenance and After-Care” training course will take place at the Association’s St. Neots training facility on 22nd May 2012.
“Many CI businesses are keen to attract recurring revenues to their business, but aren’t fully aware of what’s involved or how these elements will fit with their existing business model,” says Matt Dodd, CEDIA’s Education Chair. “This course will help companies shape up so they can start selling service contracts to their clients and develop a new revenue stream for their business.”
According to CEDIA’s 2011 Benchmarking Survey, 68% of CEDIA members were offering recurring revenue services. However, of those, only 38% were offering service contract with revenues totalling just 4% of the average gross turnover.
The CEDIA one-day “Maintenance and After-Care” course offers an opportunity for custom installers to take time out and consider their business model. It also provides the chance to discuss issues with fellow attendees and instructors who have made the transition to selling maintenance and after-care within their own companies. During the workshop, delegates will see three very different strategies for generating recurring revenues, enabling them to formulate a strategy which works for their business.
An early bird discount of 5% is available if booked 14 days or more before the course starts and costs include all day time meals and refreshments. The course is available to members at the cost of £149 +VAT member rate £199 +VAT non member rate. Following the course in May, “Maintenance and After-Care” will next run on 20th November 2012.
