The starting point for any successful system design is an accurate brief from the client. Documentation is a key element to any job and those created before any money has changed hands are no less important. 

This course will explore dealing with customers, and the role of the designer in the initial client meetings process. Attendees will learn the needs analysis process, as well as scope documents and including the bill of materials; more commonly known as the quote. The course will provide attendees the opportunity to write up quote and design scope based upon working examples of client briefs.

  • Understand the designer and the client process
  • Collate needs analysis information
  • Write up and deliver quotes and scope documents
  • Understand the customer relations interface
