CEDIA education broadens its appeal to BADA and CAI members

Dec 5, 2011

CEDIA has announced a new initiative that offers all members of BADA (the British Audio-Visual Dealers Association) and CAI (the Confederation of Aerial Industries) access to CEDIA training courses and educational resources at a member’s rate. This reciprocal agreement is a key step in CEDIA’s overall plan to broaden the reach of CEDIA education and ensure home technology is professionally installed within the custom electronics sector.

The scheme offers all BADA and CAI members preferential rates on a wide range of CEDIA courses including ‘Intro to Residential CI and Integration’, ‘EST1 Boot Camp’, ‘Technical School’, ‘Home Cinema Design Workshop’ and much more. CEDIA Training resources including whitepapers and recommended practices will also be available at a reduced member’s rate.

“Our partnership with other trade bodies is part of our continued development to raise standards and awareness across the wider Home Technology market” says CEDIA’s Education Chair, Matt Dodd. ”We recognise that members of BADA and the CAI may be interested in custom installation and keen to develop their skill-sets in the sector. This incentive will help encourage them to take the education steps necessary and reach the standards required to become involved in the industry. The CEDIA education program not only offers a number of opportunities to become CEDIA Certified in both the installer and designer tracks, but candidates are also able to undergo Health and Safety training and to become CISCO Certified”.

BADA represents retailers, manufacturers and distributors in the Hi-fi and Home Cinema industry, offering training courses and promoting higher standards throughout the sector. The CAI is the recognised body for the aerial and satellite industry and is committed to raising standards within the industry to assure consumers of a quality installation.
