Integrate your knowledge with CEDIA

May 2, 2012

CEDIA has announced dates for its advanced Integrated Systems Design workshop which will provide individuals with knowledge and experiences of holistic integrated systems design.

Led by Peter Aylett, from consultancy firm, Home Technology Associates, and hosted at the CEDIA training centre in St. Neots, near Cambridge, the five day course will run from the 25th–29th June 2012.

The course is ideally suited to those who are CEDIA Installer Level One / EST2 Certified or delegates who have at least three years’ industry experience. It will provide excellent preparation for the CEDIA Designer Level One certification exam.

“Integrated Systems Design” will cover a wide range of topics focused on developing a standard, scalable and repeatable design methodology, focused on profit. It will explore the practicalities of systems integration, home cinema design, A/V signals and cables, wireless network design and roles, clients and documentation.

“Integrated systems design is a skill set that is core to every company working in the residential CI sector,” says Matt Dodd, CEDIA’s Education Chair. “This course has been newly developed to teach those skills in a fresh, engaging and informative way. It balances practical real world situations with the important theory behind an integrated engineering design philosophy.”

An early bird discount is available of 5% if booked 14 days or more before the course starts and costs include accommodation at the Premier Inn adjacent to the CEDIA office plus all day time meals and refreshments. The course is available to members at £1099 +VAT and to non-members at £1299 +VAT.

CEDIA is the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association, an international trade organisation spanning three continents with a global membership of over 3,500 companies. Its members specialise in the planning, design, supply, installation, integration, concealment and control of automated electronic systems for the modern, intelligent home. They can install anything from multi-room audio systems and home cinemas to complete home networks and sub-systems which intelligently control lighting, security, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), and even garden facilities, from lighting to watering.
